2013 Summer Movies I’m Looking Forward to Seeing

I’m juggling so many things right now I don’t know when I’ll find time for everything. Still, I think it’s important to squeeze in a little time to watch shows or movies. It’s a good way to relax, stretch the imagination and hopefully gain more story ideas.

  1. So many awesome films. Man of Steel, Ironman, Star Trek and Kick Ass 2 are top of my list :-)

  2. Shelly says:

So many great movies this summer. I plan on going to the movies in a couple weekends with some girlfriends.

    Hugs and chocolate,
    Shelly

  3. Looking forward to many of those.
Now You See Me slipped under my radar when creating my May Movie Preview post, but I really want to see it now.

  4. Lots of great choices. I’m looking forward to Monster University and the Mortal Instrument movie. And the Percy Jackson one even though the first one was a bit disappointing.

  5. Trisha says:

    SO. MANY. MOVIES.

We are seeing Gatsby in a couple of weeks. A gala “girls’ night”. Should be fun :)

  6. Cassie says:

I am personally STOKED on Gatsby and Iron Man 3!!! Also high up there: Monsters Univ, Despicable Me (those last two in the top 10 of my fave cartoons of all time), 300, Wolverine, Epic, World War Z, Superman & Percy Jackson… Too many good ones coming out at the same time which means I’ll be broke :) Basically we have the same taste in movies so if you ever need a movie-going partner in crime, I’m totally in!

  7. Sia McKye says:

Some of these I hadn’t even heard of. Yah, visiting Saturn does that to you, lol! Hubs and I are doing a dinner date when Star Trek comes out. I’m waiting for the next Fast Five.

I’m now going to go look these up so I know what some of them are about. The work you make me do, lol!

  8. mooderino says:

It’s going to be quite a big summer for blockbusters. No Pacific Rim on your list, I notice. Not a fan of giant robots?

  9. Akoss says:

I wish I could go for all of them, but for right now I’m hoping really hard to make it for Despicable Me 2.
    *bounces*

  10. Hmmm, I don’t even know what “Now You See Me” is, so I’ll have to look it up. Other than that, these are some excellent movies. I’m excited to see quite a few of them (most of them, actually). I’d like to read Mortal Instruments before I see it, so I’ll need to get on that.

  11. Laura Eno says:

I don’t go to the movies anymore but so many of these look good! Thanks for the list. I’m going to save it. :)

  12. So many cool movies… I can’t wait to see most of them… especially World War Z… I watched Star Trek tonight and it was good:)

  13. Julie Luek says:

We rarely watch regular TV (just Netflix) so without commercials, I’m really behind on what’s even out in movies. This was a good update. I’m not a huge movie buff, but there are a few of these I will look forward to coming out on DVD. Johnny Depp in the Lone Ranger- that’s high on the list.

  14. Hilary says:

Hi Nutschell .. Only the Great Gatsby .. it’s just so nice to be outside! and I probably should do some catch up of films I missed ..

Cheers to you – enjoy these .. Hilary

  15. These look awesome. I’m most interested in Iron Man and Man of Steel.

  16. We saw Gatsby this weekend and enjoyed it — REALLY looking forward to the next Star Trek. We watched the ’09 reboot on DVD yesterday. I hope the sequel carries the humor of the first film; it looks so seriousss.

  17. Nas says:

This is an amazing list and I also am interested in a few from this list. Hopefully will get to take out some time to see!

  18. Elise Fallson says:

What a great list. You’ve hit on a bunch I’m really excited about seeing this summer. But the only one I’m certainly not going to be watching is World War Z. That just looks way too scary and full of zombies for my taste! (:

  19. We hardly ever go to movies, so thanks for the heads up on what the choices are.

    Kathy M.

  20. Carina Olsen says:

Amazing post 😉 So many great movies to look forward to. <3 I hope you will end up loving them all :) Sigh, I just love watching movies. Mostly dying for City of Bones :)

  21. I would add Fast and the Furious 6 to that list!
