First off, I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

Second, I’d like to congratulate all those who survived this year’s NANOWRIMO. You guys seriously rock!!!

Now on to the announcements!

Last month’s Spotlight Week featured the fabulous historical fantasy novel BORN WICKED by the equally fabulous Jessica Spotswood.

It’s been almost a month since Supertyphoon Haiyan devastated the Philippines, but the relief efforts are still underway. There’s still a lot of things to be done and a lot of people who still need our help, so we’re still trying to raise funds as much as we can.

There are two fundraising campaigns which I’d like to share with you.

The first is for my own nonprofit group, the Children’s Book Writers of Los Angeles (

We are donating 50% of our book sales from November 2013 to January 2014 to the typhoon relief efforts.

The second fundraising campaign for my martial arts family. Los Angeles Doce Pares has launched the Payong Fund Drive to help in the typhoon relief efforts in Cebu.

From Nov. 23rd until December 15th , they’re offering Payong Drive Shirts for $20 each. 100% of the net proceeds go to the relief efforts.

    Hi Nutschell .. it’s wonderful there’s so much fundraising going on – we have lots here too – thankfully our carers and nurses family’s weren’t affected by the typhoon – but they’ve been fund raising and sending money home to help.
